ABOUT SPOUSES AND MATTERS CONCERNING ACCOMPANYING PARTNERS AT THE MINISTRY FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS
The information on this website is primarily for anyone who is an accompanying family partner of a Ministry for Foreign Affairs official abroad, or will be in the future. Ensuring that every stay abroad is a positive experience for the entire family is an important part of the Ministry’s staff policy. It is not just a matter of enjoyment and integration in the place of posting, but also social and financial security and the possibility to work. Moving back to Sweden can also entail certain challenges.

Initiative to strengthen career development for accompanying spouses – apply before 15 JANURARY 2025
One of our accompanying spouses with expertise in career coaching hereby offers a group of other accompanying spouses and partners the possibility to participate in a program over a period of three months. The program consists of free coaching in both group and personal sessions, and will commence on 22 January 2025.
