The employee and family members can contact the Ministry for Foreign Affairs staff counsellors for personal advice, coaching and discussions/treatment regarding personal or work-related problems. This may involve work-related or private relationship problems, personal crises or substance abuse problems.
The staff counsellors are bound by professional secrecy under the Secrecy Act. This means that they will not pass on information to others without the individual’s consent. The staff counsellors have a broad contact network and if necessary can also arrange external resources.
