Before being posted abroad, the employee and their accompanying family members have the possibility of having a medical examination at the MFA-Sida Medical Clinic. An examination of accompanying family members ahead of being posted abroad is a benefit for which the employee is subject to tax. While posted abroad, the posted official and their accompanying family members are entitled to one medical examination per year. The medical examination is to be done at the MFA-Sida Medical Clinic and in connection with other travel to Sweden, such as holiday travel home, unless otherwise agreed with the Ministry’s Human Resources Department (UD P AG).
